I was afraid of it being xEVER (lever, fever, never, sever) so at least I missed that trap, although it still could have been newer or sewer or possibly hewer or hexer so I really got lucky. ---

I wanted a word that had five letters out of a group of eight or so. I used an anagram finder and found UPBOW. I was curious what it was and looked it up. So, now I know what it means. It’s a new word I learned with Wordle. In this case it narrowed it down to two words. I picked the wrong one first ---

All I could think of at that point were LEVER, NEVER, and NEWER, so I figured NEVER would get me at least one letter, and I was surprised when N and V both turned up black. I totally blanked after that, and had to stare at the keyboard for _way_ too long before FEWER came to me. I actually felt lucky to escape with a five today. ---
