Another variant: “[Redactle](https://www.redactle.com),” which blanks out all the key words in a randomly selected article from Wikipedia’s top 10,000. Unlimited guesses fill in the blanks one word at a time as you guess them, and you win when you’ve guessed the title. Today’s looks like this:

After the first word I only saw apple, apply, and (for research only) possibly paler. Since I couldn’t see anything else I went for the win on 2.

I so couldn’t see ‘ample’ that once I had four greens, I had to mentally try every letter in that spot, but still didn’t see. Second pass uncovered it.

Would have been an excellent day to open with clamp. (Assuming I didn’t pull a knucklehead move and follow that up with ‘lamps.’)

Really happy with this three. I immediately thought of APPLE, but then AMBLE popped into my head. Then I realized there’s a word that would help me in either of those cases, so I went for that.
