I reused the yellow R in the same spot for my second guess, then forgot to use R at all for my third. To add insult to injury, I finish it off by guessing wrong with a 50-50 shot. Just bad all around. I was having a hell of a time thinking of any words with I in the third position and an R anywhere _except_ the second position. (briar, bring, grief, grill, grind, etc…) Then again, long day, fell asleep early, happened to wake up around midnight… Probably shouldn’t have played until morning. ---

I was going a bit too fast and was kicking myself for not thinking of DAIRY before FAIRY. When DAIRY wasn’t right I was genuinely surprised. So much so that I went through every remaining letter - twice - to make damn sure HAIRY was the only option left. Still, had I slowed down and considered all the possibilities, the correct one probably would have been my last choice anyway. Some days are just like that. ---
