Now might be a good time to shake the addictive habit but presumably I’ll keep going given my tendency to absentmindedly also play the Dordle, Quordle, Octordle, etc. variants most days while watching television. At least now I can take the opportunity to switch to playing Wordle on my phone from playing on an old desktop PC. I’m glad not to have read the β€œdistinctively American” reference in the thread although I’m positive I would have gotten the solve if I had seen it. I had repeatedly steered away from the actual solution numerous times because it just didn’t seem _Wordle_ enough for that very reason. ---

So for my 4th word I decided to eliminate letters with a word I knew it couldn’t be - I don’t think I’ve done that before, but it sure paid off with the word I decided to go with! I’m not sure if I would have thought of the answer word otherwise - well, I _could have_, but I had a list of words already in my head and it wasn’t one of them at that time. ---
