Wordle 362 4/6 ⬜⬜⬜🟨🟩 ⬜🟨🟨⬜🟩 ⬜⬜🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 STERN CROWN BORON APRON I ran afoul of my unfortunate tendency to eliminate possibilities if the pronunciation I use differs from that of the word itself. To wit: I was running down β€˜words that end with RON’ by going through the alphabet systematically, including β€œI \_ RON”, β€œU \_ RON”, and β€œA \_ RON” with all non-eliminated letters put in place of the space. When I got to P I mentally pronounced the A as β€œah” instead of as a long A, and so dismissed it as a possibility, until going over it again. (Thereby making a 5-minute game into a 15-minute game!) TMI quite possibly, but: there it is. ---

I fall into a similar trap, @Sherrerd, where different pronunciations hide from me. It’s particularly bad when running through the alphabet checking every letter for a single blank, just like you describe. ---
