At least it wasn’t a 6, and in fact egret may have been the only valid answer left after four guesses. Still, yet another 5. Ouch. ---

I worked for this one. Wordle 378 3/6\* ⬛🟨⬛🟨🟨 🟨⬛🟩🟩⬛ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 IRATE THREW EGRET The first two tries were quick. Then I wrenched and wrenched until I had two choices: STREP and EGRET. I like the bird better than the disease, so I tried that one first. That much was luck. ---

After that, I didn’t see any U words, so went ahead with the double E at three. I’m happy with my solve, and the word EGRET always makes me smile for some reason. ---

After my typical first guess, EARTH, and seeing the resultant 🟩⬛🟩🟨⬛, I didn’t try my typical second word, LIONS, to eliminate any more letters. I wanted to get it in 2. Fortunately I did not see any other possibilities other than the correct word. Are there any? Wordle 378 2/6 🟩⬛🟩🟨⬛ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 I’ll take the 2. ---

No, I don’t think so. I tried quite a few letter combinations based on what you knew with your first try, and EGRET smacked me in the face as the only option. Well done you for getting it in two tries, and working at it! ---
