Or gland, for that matter, now that I think of it. In any case, I don’t see any way I would’ve gotten a 3 on this one. For whatever reason I just put no stock in D’s. ---

#389 3/6 SLANT PRICK BLAND SLANT gave me _LAN_, and brief visions of a 2. But as I considered the possibilities, I was reminded of everyone struggling with \_IGHT yesterday: I came up with eight possibilities, including four different first letters for \_LANK. Hence PRICK, after which I was down to GLAND and BLAND, and the latter seemed more likely.
