I couldn’t help but notice IRATE this morning as I was playing around, even though it wasn’t a possible solution since I’d eliminated the A right off the bat. But it was a nearly perfect a start for this Wordle, and β€˜nearly’ only in that it left you with that mental coin flip between WRITE and TRITE on the second guess. _So_ close to that 2 - I know how frustrating that can be. ---

#397 4/6 _really?!_ SLANT CHORE DUMPY APHID After my first three words, I had 4 of the 5 letters, and the solution was the only word I could find that fit them. Let’s just say that while it’s a word I know, I hardly consider it a _common_ word. The only time I ever see it is on those rare occasions when I’ve needed to resort to chemicals to control some garden pest, the container will tell me if it works on aphids. And that’s all I could have told you about them. So I’m going β€˜WTF, Josh?!’ on this one.
