I got frustrated trying to remember how spoilers work on this site, but anyway, #454 ended my streak at about 240 (“about” because I’ve been locked out of my NYT account for a few weeks). ---

**Wordle 454 5/6** 🟨🟩⬜⬜🟨 ⬜🟩🟨🟩🟩 ⬜⬜⬜⬜🟨 🟩🟩⬜🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 RAISE CAPER GLOVE PAYER PARER Saw the trap after my second word, and with too many words to choose from, I had to toss out a “sleuth word”. Guessed wrong when it was down to two words to choose from…darn it. And to think I was _very_ close to choosing the double-letter word (because it’s double-letter word month!), but I just hoped we were past that. On the bright side of things, at least I didn’t fail. ---

Add me to the 5’s…was happy not to fail this one! It helped that I tossed out a sleuth word - I usually play like I’m in hard mode, but I don’t have it turned on in cases such as today. > [@EllisDee](#): > > I’m surprised anybody recognized the word.
