Wordle 467 3/6 > **Summary** > > **S** _L_ **A** NT > **SCAL** E > **SCALD** > > After eliminating previous solutions SHALL and SHAWL, I had SMALL, SHALE, SWALE, SCALE, SCALD, SCALP, and SCALY as possibilities. Words with a C as the second letter, words ending in silent E, one with both, and one with neither. So SCALE, the one with both, was my second guess to narrow it down to one group or the other, or possibly get lucky. After SCALE, I was down to SCALD, SCALP, and SCALY: did I want to try for a 3 and possibly wind up with a 5, or did I want to go with DUMPY as my third guess and get a guaranteed 4? I generally prefer playing it safe, but I just didn’t like the idea of going with DUMPY here. So I gambled on SCALD, and got lucky. ---
