A nice 3 today. Wordle 479 3/6\* πŸŸ¨β¬›πŸŸ¨β¬›β¬› πŸŸ¨πŸŸ©β¬›πŸŸ©β¬› 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 IRATE LAPIS VALID I was feeling pretty good until I saw what WordleBot had to say. It pointed out that my second guess had eliminated all but two words: VALID and CAVIL. Umm, wut? WTF is a CAVIL? I have never heard this word and would never have thought to try it. Is that word actually a Wordle word? If yes, be forewarned! (And yes, I did Google it! Who knew?) ---

I would be _very_ surprised if CAVIL ever appears as a Wordle answer. According to Scoredle, I had four possible words left at my last move: VALID, HALID, SAYID, and GADID. There are all sorts of obscure little-known words. As far as I’m concerned, I had only one choice. ---

It’s the sort of word that would be second nature to someone working at a newspaper that does heavy political coverage, so I can’t see the NYT pulling it if it’s on the list to begin with. ---
