Doh! Happy with the 3, anyway. It’s funny, even though I also saw taker after 2 I just knew in my bones the answer was taper, and that I had just robbed myself of my first 2 in like six months. ---

Wordle 547 4/6 SL_A_N_T_ CHO_RE_ W **A** _T_ **ER** **TAPER** Despite all the 2s and 3s so far, I was happy to escape with a 4. After my second guess, I had four of the five letters but none of their positions, and a plethora of possible solutions - TREAD, WATER, AFTER for example. ---

I didn’t think it would be TAKER, but I thought TAMER was a legit possibility, not so much as in β€˜more tame’ but rather as in β€˜lion tamer.’ (I still thought TAPER was a better bet, obviously.) ---
