SL_ANT_ =\> had six or seven decent possibilities after this B_A_ **T** O_N_ =\> knocked it down to **ANTIC** ANTIC was the first possibility that came to mind after my first word narrowed things down a bit, but there were several possibilities, and ANTIC wasn’t going to narrow things down much further if it wasn’t the solution, so I went with BATON which did the job. (It had already been used; I forgot to check, but it didn’t matter.) ---

After my usual β€˜slant’ opening, I considered β€˜natty,’ but rejected it more on the grounds that as a colloquialism, it was more in vogue 50-60 years ago than now. But there were some words I rejected simply because they were slang, natch. πŸ˜‰ ---

Antic was my first choice, but then I thought it _usually_ is used in the plural, so I looked it up to see how common it is used singularly, and it is in fact usually used in the plural, plus there is another meaning which is archaic for grotesque or bizarre. So with that, I went with Attic. πŸ™„ This is my 300th game, and I think I’m done. Or I might just take a break…we’ll see. ---
