Helpful here: the fact that so far they don’t seem to be repeating words (I checked all the options against the β€˜already won’ list). I started looking for the perfect research word to identify among them, ignoring hard mode rules. But then I thought β€œFlash? Flask? Plush?!” Since I had not yet confirmed that S was in the first position, I decided to stick with hard mode rules. In the above list, the only one that actually follows my strategy in terms of the first two guesses was slime, so I decided to just play it straight with slime. ---
