Besides knowing its regular meaning I am friends with someone with the surname CHARD so I’m more used to seeing the word than most people. Even so, I’m going to predict that everyone here griping that they’ve never heard of it before will suddenly start seeing it seemingly everywhere. ---

Annoying too because I know the word well, have eaten Swiss chard many times, have cooked it several times, and the week before Christmas there was much hilarity in our house when a card arrived from a relative who had a new address, at 1234 Swiss Chard Circle. I didn’t know that CHARM had been used already. Where are people seeing the list of used words? ---
