Wordle 582 4/6\* β¬›β¬›πŸŸ¨πŸŸ¨πŸŸ¨ β¬›πŸŸ¨πŸŸ¨πŸŸ¨πŸŸ¨ πŸŸ©πŸŸ©πŸŸ©πŸŸ©β¬› 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 IRATE STEAM MATED MATEY I, too, could have had this in 3 if I didn’t think the word was so far-fetched. I had it down to MATEY, MATED AND TAMED. I didn’t think MATED or TAMED were possible because past tense, but by trying MATED first, I eliminated both if I was wrong and at least preserved a 4. Bastiches. ---

So I tried MATEY on the theory that it surely would pin down the positions of my A, E, and/or T. If not for the fact that SHEESH is six letters, I bet it would be a future Wordle solution. It’s at about the same level of respectability as MATEY. (Don’t be surprised if YEESH is a solution heading toward us someday soon, though!) ---

I know it’s a few days old now (#579: MUCKY), but that was the first time that I’ve had to go to my third β€˜all new letters’ guess. STARE and LINGO resulted in all greys, and then CHUMP had the three yellows, which helped me get it on the 4th try. ---
