Wow, the results are all over the place today, already everything from a 2 to a 6. Iβm happy to be in the middle with a 4. π
This one was unusual for me in that, after my second guess, there were seven legit possibilities: BUNCH, HUNCH, MUNCH, PUNCH, FINCH, PINCH, WINCH. And (the unusual part) NONE of them were previous solutions! With well over 800 games in the rearview mirror, Iβve gotten used to being able to narrow things down somewhat with past solutions, but not this time!
With that many choices, I wanted to play it safe with a sleuth word, but found I couldnβt cover all the bases. WIMPY left me with a possible 5 if the solution was BUNCH or HUNCH, and BUMPY did the same if it was WINCH or FINCH. Since the Y was superfluous, I tried BWUMP and BWIMP but Wordle rejected them both, so I went with BUMPY because I thought BUNCH and HUNCH were more likely than WINCH and FINCH. Turned out I made the right choice. π
Once I knew the solution (and before I checked in here), I did my best to send out βtrust the B, Ellis, trust the B!β vibes, but it turned out I was five hours too late. βΉ
