BINGE

This was a roller coaster. First I saw dunce, but I really didn’t like that as an answer. Then wince, but that’s been used. Then ounce, but I already eliminated O. Then hinge, but that’s already been an answer. Finally that led me to binge, which felt like a Wordle answer. Sure there’s the eating disorder context, but “binge watching” has become a fully mainstream term. I almost settled on dunce so many times; glad I kept looking.

I was luckier than I realized at first, per Scoredle it could have been nudge, knife, genie, or venue (and that last one will really kick my butt when its turn comes up).
