For my 2nd guess I looked for a word starting with S and containing an I and an O. Of course, WordleBot had to spoil my pleasure by rating my skill at 65 out of 99 and dismissing it as a very lucky guess. Sure, I was lucky, but it wasnβt just dumb luck!

I start with COURT, ASIDE, and NYMPH. 15 unique letters - all the vowels and common consenants. If I donβt already have at least four yellow or green letters - i start thinking of L, G, and H, or double letters. NYMPH or LYMPH - itβs a tossup.

Sometimes I pick my start words the night before for the next day, and I had written down Crane + Solid. But by the time I played, I completely forgot about that and went with my usual Slate. I then remembered I had wanted to play Solid 2nd, but I go and toss up Silky instead - lol. Really, out of the words I was seeing, Silky would tell me more than Solid would, but it would have been great if I went with my first instinct. Happy with a 3 regardless.

Iβve used NYMPH in my set of starting words before. It gets the N in, and also the Y. My set noticeably does not get the Y in, and thatβs a problem (I recently started using STERN ALOUD CHIMP, spoilered because I just used them in my previous post). Iβll see how that goes in the coming days and weeks.

Saw nothing at midnight so I slept on it. In the morning I saw atone, but thatβs already been an answer. Mid-morning I saw nothing. At lunch I saw tawny, but didnβt think that would be an answer. Now, hours later, I got annoyed that it still wasnβt solved so I just put in tawny to see.
The amount of times I mentally ran through taunt/taint/saint in the past 16 hours was maddening.

Like I was saying to Chefguy earlier, I kept on having to remind myself that the last letter could NOT be βTβ.
My approach was to look at the different places those two yellows could be. There were 7 possible ways to arrange them, which isnβt very many to check. And other than the arrangements that yielded tawny and (past solution) atone, none of them seemed to be producing a word of any sort. So I went with it.
