I rarely try double letters on a second try, but there just _wasnβt_ anything else. As it turns out, there were 4 other words that were possibles, two of which I considered unlikely (OUTRE, METRE) and two that had already been used (THERE, STORE). So between TERSE and THREE, I chose the wrong one. But not complaining!

Iβm still on the fence about consulting the used words list. I did so today, and frankly it made the process rather tedious. TRADE? No. ABATE? No. THEME? No. And so forth.
Otherwise, I likely would have scored a four or even a five, but the game would have been easier and probably more fun. I should worry less about my score and more about enjoying the play.
