Wordle 1038 2/6 🟨🟨🟨⬜⬜ 186 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 SLANT LASER There were a few other possibilities (AISLE, EASEL, BASIL, FALSE, LAPIS, LASSO, PALSY; BALSA, LAPSE, and USUAL had already been used); I went with LASER because not only did it seem like an awfully good guess, but it would guarantee a 3 at worst. ---

Meaning I immediately guessed boxer after order wasn’t the answer. At that point I realized I was deep in a trap. I found hover/mover/rover/rower/mower, and then was forced to cheat myself with a sleuth word. I also saw roger, but I’m not sure if that’s in the answer list. It’s a radio call sign, so it might be. If it had been roger I would have lost. ---

After the third guess you actually had 4/5 letters. You were probably down to only two options at that point. BOXER didn’t have the second R from ORDER. You could have eliminated everything but ROWER, ROVER and possibly ROGER or BORER. Meanwhile, I was luckier than I thought to avoid the trap. Having the first letter helped a lot. ---
