Turns out I had a one in four shot at the birdie; I only saw COVER and MOVER, and not HOVER or ROVER. Had I been more diligent, I likely would have used a sleuth word at three, so yay for careless play! ---

Wordle 1,095 3/6 ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜ ⬜🟧⬜⬜⬜ 🟧🟧🟧🟧🟧 There is no way I should have gotten this in three, other than dumb luck. The Bot said I had 63 words to choose from after my second guess. Fun fact: if I’d used my usual opening word, I’d have had three of the letters right out of the gate. POUND DOUGH COVER ---

In retrospect, the answer was the obvious fourth choice for me, both for the double option I outlined after the third guess and the first two options from the first sentence here.
