Wordle 1177 3/6 ⬜⬜🟩🟨⬜ 31 ⬜🟩🟩🟩🟩 2 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 SLANT BRAWN DRAWN I had that same green and yellow in my starting word just the other day, in #1168, so I still had my scribbles from that day. Same situation with one less possible solution, went with the same second word. If PRAWN had been today’s solution, I’d have had to take a 4; otherwise, no worse than a 3. Sweet! ---

Fun fact: We are just past the halfway point through the original answer list, which had 2315 answers. If the original list were still being adhered to, we would have crossed the halfway point in Wordle #1158. ---

We know the NYT dropped a few words from Wardle’s list, but even if they also added a number of words, we still have to be either past the halfway mark or close enough to it to make no never mind. I keep thinking that at some point, they really need to start allowing the re-use of solutions in some manner, otherwise they’re going to have fewer and fewer possible solutions to choose from. If it were up to me, I’d do something like exclude just the past six months’ worth of solutions from being selected, and I’d weight things so that an unused word on the solutions list would have a greater probability of selection (maybe double) than a solution that had already been used. Eventually they’ll have to do _something_, but I doubt they’ll take advantage of my brilliant ideas. πŸ˜‰ ---
