Wordle 1197 2/6 ⬜⬜🟩🟨⬜ 31 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 SLANT BRAIN This is the third time in the past month that I’ve had that particular green-and-yellow combo on my starting word, #1168 and #1177 being the others. So not only have I become familiar with it, but two possible solutions (out of a dozen) had gotten used up lately. If my guess on 2 hadn’t been the solution, I’d have had no worse than a 3. So the next time this combo comes up, AGAIN, BRAIN, CHAIN, DRAIN, DRAWN, KNAVE, and YEARN will have already been used, leaving only GRAIN, BRAWN, PRAWN, KNACK, and (iffy) UNARM. I’m kinda surprised they haven’t already started re-using previous solutions. ---

With an editor, any word could be added to the list at any time. For example, after BEAUT was an answer recently I checked the original wordle list and it was not there. So that was added by the editor. Now I’m curious to find all the editor words, and it feels like it would only take 10 minutes. GUANO is (if you’ll forgive the Simpsons-generated neologism) a perfectly cromulent word. I understand Millard Filmore (or maybe Grover Cleveland) referenced its value as a natural resource in an Inaugural address (unless it was a SotU speech. So I’m not good with details. Sue me). ETA: And what’s the problem with MANGA? It’s as least as valid a word as SUSHI. I might (_MIGHT_) balk at POCKY, though. ---
