Of the words I missed, CRONE would have gotten me a bogie and OZONE, after likely several minutes of confusion, a par. So I had a one-in-five shot at the birdie and hit it! ---

Then as I was getting ready for bed, I thought, β€œDid I play wordle today?” Not sure why that thought came to me just then, but I’m glad it did. It still took me 15 minutes to come up with GAMUT. I probably should have seen SAUCY (the only other non-BS word left), but fortunately I didn’t. ---

I counted at least 15 words in the trap after guess three and I went for the most common word at four and a sleuth word at five. I guess if I had seen CORER I would have thought it more likely than COMER and could have used PORED as my sleuth word. Also, it does not escape my notice that my last loss was PARER.
