Same pattern, with the same first two guesses, as #1199, which narrowed it down to two possibilities. I correctly guessed CLOUD on 3 then; this time it had to be FLOUR.

Nice birdie to get after a shaky start.
I stand corrected, then. I didn’t recall ever seeing an -ER adjective as an answer, and just assumed they were not valid.
Wordle 1,206 4/6
READY (I get to use my favorite vowel-hunting word!)
HOURI (found my vowels! Now to place that R…)
CROUP (placed it!)
FLOUR (only word possible. Unless you think STOUR is a word. I would challenge it in Scrabble)
LAGER → L must be 2nd or 3rd. Should try an O and one of us (i.e. either U or I). Sorted through combinations with I and got nowhere. ?ULOR/?OLUR go nowhere. With L in second, though…
FLOUR
COLOR and of couse FLOOR were the other major possibles. My fixation on not repeating letters helped me this time around. Scoredle does the repeat but still birdies.
And I think it’s just the suffix rather than the part of speech anyway. Like with the -S endings, it’s not just plural nouns but also third person singular verbs obtained by adding an S that have never been solutions.

PAEON - So possibly an i or a u to go with the o. Can’t be ‘point’. Could be an ‘-ound’ word, but let’s try. . .
JOINT - A rare two for me!
FLOUR → OK. Try an E, and the three remaining WoFcons
TONES → I would guess ?OUNT here if the U hadn’t already been ruled out. ?OANT goes nowhere. ?OINT, though
JOINT
Not sure why I went with J rather than the more obvious P here, but I’m glad I did. Scoredle gets a 4 and always makes the opposite play when it gets down to just those two options, so an odd lower-percantage (i.e. lucky) play works out for me here.
