Nice after yesterday’s debacle.
MOMMY → About what I expected. Time for a good first guess second.
SLATE → Two vowels found, one placed. I think that may be it for vowels. Two more WoFcons to go. Use 'em both and try
RANGE → R in the middle. I’m seeing
FARCE → So C in the front, CAR?E gives us
CARVE
A nice par spoiled by that start word. Remind me again why I do this? Scoredle makes the right choice after three guesses and finishes with an actual par.

CARVE, FARCE, or PARSE. Either of the ones containing C would assure a par, and I picked the right one for birdie! Putting yesterday’s nonsense firmly in the past.

Another day, another trap. I could have probably been OK in hard mode but I worried that I was missing something so went with the test word.

Fourth 2 in the past 16 days - a nice run of luck here!
TBH, I’ve recently changed my approach when my starting word yields two yellow consonants, to start going right at the solution rather than following up with CHORE, my standard second word, so that I’ve at least got a chance on 2. Still a lot of luck involved, but going from zero chance to maybe a 1/7 chance gives luck a chance.
A bit of work is involved in coming up with a list of possible solutions right after my starting word, but it’s the sort of work that makes Wordle interesting to me, and besides, it’s paid off.
Effing word trap.
Wordle 1,210 6/6
CARVE → Second first-guess whiff in a row. O & I and 3 WoFcons
LOINS → Well, that’s something. U & Y are still out there, as is T. Is there a word that covers all of them?
TUSHY → Yes. And there’s a trap on the way. I’m guessing it’s not BUSTY or FUSTY. LUSTY & RUSTY already gone. D/G/M left, I"ll try 'em in alpha order
DUSTY → Miss.
GUSTY
Scoredle finds the trap earlier, but ends up with the same score. The U & Y make for an interesting trap, but it was a bit easier since I had already KOed some possibles with so many consonants early on.

At three, I was convinced it was STUNG, STUNK, or STUNT. By jumping to that conclusion, I missed the _USTY trap, as well as STUMP, STUCK, STUFF, and SHUNT. So the G was a stroke of luck for sure.
Still could have been GUTSY, so I was lucky twice.
