Wordle 1,568 3/6 ⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛ πŸŸ¦πŸŸ§πŸŸ¦πŸŸ¦β¬› 🟧🟧🟧🟧🟧 MOUTH LEARN RELAY Second word paid dividends after the whiff. I don’t consult the used word list, but I somehow remembered that RELAX was already an answer. Other options were REGAL and FERAL, but I went with the one I saw first and got lucky. ---

Wordle 1,569 3/6 My 2nd & 3rd guesses were exactly the same as psychobunny’s 3rd & 4th. But my first guess was, as usual, STARE. A bad choice if the secret were chosen by a canny opponent, but I think NYTimes is just randomly choosing common words. Isn’t xxAxE a common pattern? That’s always struck me as weird. But I took advantage of that once to play a Wordle that I’d theoretically missed. I was up in the hour after midnight (I’m on US East Coast time) and getting ready to play the new day’s Wordle when I realized I hadn’t played the previous day’s, which would have of course killed my win streak. Fortunately, I realized that before I opened up Wordle on my phone, so I first changed the time zone on my phone to California time, where it wasn’t even 10pm the previous day yet. So I played the previous day’s Wordle on California time, keeping my streak alive, closed Wordle, and changed back to Eastern time. Waited until morning to play the new day’s Wordle, just to spread out the fun. ---
