But QUEUE was a good word nonetheless, placing two U’s and confirming there was only one E. And in fact, it left only the correct solution. ---

Wordle 1604 4/6 ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜ ⬜⬜⬜⬜🟩 ⬜🟩⬜⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 SLANT CHORE DUMPY FUGUE QUEUE had already been used. Actually, practically all the Q-words have been played, there’s only a few left that haven’t. I also thought of JUVIE, but I figured that was too slang for the NYT. Went 0-for-10 on my consonants on my first three guesses, but at least I got those two green vowels to give some structure to the word. And when the only consonants left are B,F,G,J,K,Q,V,W,X,Z, it didn’t take long to run through the possibilities. ---

But it was the fitting word which guaranteed Three _IF_ the secret word was on the list of 7 unused fitters I’d thought of. (There were at least 20+ fitters on the already-used list.) ---

Still, it did lead me to putting the T at the front, and when I wanted to check the Y a word came to me immediately > **TABBY** > > With three nonbogus words left after the third guess, it was some amount of luck for me to get the par, but it appears I could have evaded even the trappiest trap. Scoredle goes the distance, and still hadn’t checked for the L, so had a 50/50 shot at a miss today. ---
