Best choices at 2 would have been LEARN or YEARN, which would have ID’d each other, and PEARL or WEARY, respectively. Of course if you keep track of used words, it’s just down to a coin toss between BEARD and PEARL. ---

I discovered the other day that if you’re bored and want to do tomorrow’s Wordle today (along with the Connections and Strands games), you just need to change your computer or phone’s time zone to change the current time to after midnight. Note that it doesn’t work for the Spelling Bee or the daily crossword puzzle. ---
