Wordle 1,657 3/6 ⬜🟨🟨⬜🟩 🟨⬜⬜🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 SLATE ANKLE FABLE Slant is a good start, but N is in 9th place among Wardle letters, with less than half the occurrence of 1st-place E. Worse-comes-to-worst I can follow Slate with the near-perfect Crony. Today was the ninth time I’ve gotten three (or four!) hits with Slate; I’ve had two hits 35 times, 1 hit 20 times, zero 7 times. I took time to think of 12 fitting words. Azole and Gable aren’t Wardle words, six other words were already used; so the choice was among Lance, Ankle, Valve, Fable. Of these only Ankle guaranteed a Birdie. NY Times sometimes uses non-Wardle words (Gable), but the percentage play was the Wardle word. Cheating? I would WELCOME a more complete word-list with RE-USE. ---
