It was clear that it started with spr, but I ended up going through the entire alphabet twice, first for spru and then for spri. It wasn’t until I actually got to sprig and said it out loud that I recognized it as a word. ---

Turns out I overlooked SYRUP, but fortunately it had already been used. ---

And given the letters I’ve found it must be > **SPRIG** > > Scoredle picks it up in 3; never even thinks about trying an A. It did better by starting from CYBER than it did from its own start word. What’s more, it reminded me of the word I missed for my third guess, VIRUS, though I would have had a harder time getting the solution with that one than I did in the event. ---
