Getting those first couple of letters, one placed, seems like this should have been better than a par, right? Scoredle has the same pair of ending words, and settles for par itself. My second guess was 5th on Scoredle’s list of possibles, so I did almost as well as the algorithm did. There weren’t many possibles with a terminal S after the initial guess, oddly, so they didn’t occupy a huge chunk of the solution space like usual. ---

Been busy the past few days, time to catch up. Monday (Wordle #1675) was my 1000th consecutive win, and the streak continues from there. Wordle 1675 5/6 ⬜⬜🟨🟨⬜ ⬜⬜⬜⬜🟨 ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜ ⬜🟨⬜🟨🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 SLANT CHORE DUMPY VEGAN WAXEN (Not sure there’s a need to blur it, three days later, but force of habit.) Wordle 1676 3/6 🟩🟨⬜⬜⬜ 🟩⬜🟨🟩🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 SLANT SKULL SULLY Wordle 1677 3/6 ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜ 🟩⬜⬜⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 SLANT CHORE CUBIC This was one where a dead-trees dictionary was helpful. The solution had to start with CI, CU, or CY, and a lot of the potential third letters had been knocked out already, which meant that I only had to look through a few pages. I came across only one other possibility besides the solution, and CIVIC had already been used. Wordle 1678 3/6 ⬜🟩⬜🟩⬜ ⬜🟩🟩🟩⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 SLANT BLIND CLINK CLING and FLING had already been used, and I was betting it wasn’t PLINK. ---
