The solution was Scoredle’s recommendation on the third guess, so perhaps I should have thought more for the birdie - but there were five valid words (and three cool loanwords - PILUM, POILU and BIJOU) to eliminate first, so I’m not too chuffed about it. In fact, on its own third guess Scoredle goes for one of those loanwords, which I think assures it of no worse than a bogey, but costs it that chance at a birdie. ---

There was literally nothing I could have chosen at two that didn’t guarantee a birdie (or better)! So I’d say luck was with me today. ---
