Scoredle also pars, doing it mostly by eliminations - just one yellow on each guess until the solution. ---

But still a bit trappish, so I went trolling for vowels; those were not the two I expected. Only one word left! (I was surprised Wordle accepted CHIAO, thinking it was a misspelling of CIAO. It’s actually a Chinese unit of currency.) ---

It didn’t get much better after a night’s sleep. Then I browsed another thread here on the Dope, came back to the puzzle and hit hit me > **AFOOT** > > My followup and third guesses were both third on Scoredle’s lists - 3/577, then 3/23. The par putt was a tap-in, though it took me a long time to figure it out. On its own, Scoredle kinda takes a wrong turn - it adds _no_ letters to what is known from its followup and third guesses, then picks up a single green letter with each of its next two guesses, leaving it with a tap-in double bogey. ---
