I tried to think of a word with E, S, and N and came up with one that I figured was never gonna be an answer, so I kept looking and settled on > _DEN_ **I** M β†’ So getting the D was pretty lucky. I tried UNDIE first, then thought of another word that was barely in the bounds of acceptability, so > _N_U **DIE** β†’ and then realized there was a repeat letter > **INDIE** > > Scoredle doesn’t put a priority on the E, going in a different direction with its second word by trying an O, then fills the middle three slots and holes out with a par. I guess today’s epiphany for me was finding out just how many words there are with that first letter I placed - way more than I think of at first consideration. ---

The hard part for me was seeing that β€˜indie’ rather than an attempted singular of β€˜Indies’ as in East Indies and West Indies. So I looked right at β€˜indie’ and discarded it because it was the singular of a proper noun that is only used in the plural. Finally tried it anyway out of desperation because there was nothing else out there. And then thought, β€˜oh yeah, indie labels etc…’ ---
