I wasn’t in the top 120 with my followup, and then had an invalid pick for my next guess, so Scoredle isn’t really scoring my guesses today. Playing for itself, Scoredle also converts a 50-50 for par, with the other possible being a variant of the actual solution. ---

I got a hole in one today, but it used up my starter word. I got a hole in one once before, a couple of years ago: β€œbleak” was the word back then. ---

Congrats on your ace! I’ve been using SLANT as my starting word for years now, had good luck with it, but it hasn’t yet been used as a solution. And with \<500 unused solutions remaining from Wardle’s original list, I figure it’s at least got a decent likelihood of coming up sometime in the next year or so, even taking into account recycling of used solutions. So if you’re looking for a new starting word, I’m happy to share. πŸ™‚ ---
