WISPY → A not unexpected carryover whiff. E, A, and three WoFcons, and the first word I see here is  
L_EA_RN → Good on the vowels, not so much with the consonants. T is still out there, and given the placement of E & A I can move them over one and try  
C **HE** _AT_ → AHET? goes nowhere, but THE?A and ?HETA both look promising… I’ll try them both, in a way  
**THETA**

Followup was not in the top 120; third guess was 99/120 - and yet somehow i ended up with a virtual tap-in par (other possible was bogus). I guess there were a lot of possibilities I was missing, but it sure feels more like skill than luck. Scoredle takes a side quest through some consonants once it finds the two vowels, then its fourth guess is an anagram of my third, leading to a true tap-in bogey.
