So I decided it’s time to place the E, which I tried with > **S** CE **NE** β†’ which got me to think about SCONE (haven’t had breakfast yet) which led shortly to > **SHONE** > Scoredle recommended PENNE, a real placement play, for my followup, but my next two guesses after my early error were the same as its suggestions. Scoredle also finishes in four, but with a 1-in-3 for that par, so the algorithm gets a little lucky itself in the endgame. ---
