How about _drunch_? It is how hubby and I call any meal between dinner and lunch. We also though of _linner_, but we didn’t quite like it and frankly we needed a word for that. ---

**Sloggiest** : Combination of Slightest and Foggiest… _I haven’t the sloggiest idea what you’re on about._ One of those “two words trying to come out at once” (saycopation?) errors that I ended up really liking. One of Rich Hall’s Sniglets: Pupsqueak: The sound a dog makes when it opens its mouth too wide to yawn. Oh, and another of his, one that I use in spoken convo all the time because I’ve never heard a more perfect description… Napjerk: That sudden jerking movement your body makes just as you’re drifting off to sleep. \ I do this all the time, always accompanied by some dream (such as falling off a bike, or tripping over something). Drives me nuts. And now I do it on the train, but it’s my hands that jerk. :shrug: \ ---

In computer programming, you sometimes have a situation where an exception arises in one step of a process, which is so serious that the job should end right there so corrective action can be taken. But some programmers, misunderstanding the principle of catching all errors, use exception handlers that detect the error and then set the state back to normal, so nobody ever knows anything went wrong. I nominate _overhandling_, or _exception hiding_. "We couldn’t figure out where it was going wrong because there was an overhandled exception. ---

**Saturunday** - when you have only one day off from work instead of your normal two, and must complete your normal weekend chores, errands, and socializing in a single 24-hour period, and it feels like the weekend has been smushed into one day. **Nonday** - the name of the ‘day that has no name’ - upon first waking, but before full coherency, you have no idea what day it is: Zzzzzzzzzzz … (snort) … skygzyzk … (twitch) … hanh?!! … whaaaa?? … do I go to work today? … do I sleep in do I go to the vet’s today or did I do that yesterday? _[Full consciousness achieved]_ Oh yeah, it’s \. [NOTE: this syndrome is very closely related to **daymnesia** - when you suddenly realize (in the middle of the day), you’ve forgotten what day it is namewise - is today Saturday?, Thursday? Monday?.] ---

Threads like these make my jaw drop as to how incredibly rich in words the English language is compared to ours. Though, you need to import the Swedish “lagom”! Lagom is when something is just right: not too much, not too little, just lagom. I use it all the time. ---
