Well, Ireland’s got Black Bush and Spain has Dry Sack liquor; The USA has Chilli Willy Sauce; Poland has a Fart drink and candy bar; Jamaica’s got Jerk Sauce; Germany has Dickmilch; Greece has Cock Rice Sticks, Sweden has Kockens Anis seeds; Brazil’s got Prick Chips; Belgium has Big Nuts candy; France has Crap’s Chocolate, Turkey has Ceman sauce; Ghana has Pee Cola; Japan has Creamy Ball candy and Cream Colon cookies; Thailand has Cock on the Mountain Top syrup; Portugal has Bimbo sandwiches and Finland has JussiPussi dinner rolls, but I still think the winner of the country with the naughtiest sounding food names goes to England, with: Finest Paris Brest pastry, Wimpy Chicken Bender, Jellied Eels, Piddle in the Hole beer, Bangers and mash, Mushy Peas, Cockburns liquor, Horlicks hot drink and Spotted Dick sponge cake. My own field (geology) puts up a fairly good show of it; cummingtonite, dickite, fukalite, kinoshitalite, arsenolite, kunzite, welshite, fuchsite, clintonite, shattuckite, soddyite, kutnahorite, analcite; to say nothing of cleavage measurements and denuding orogeny zones. But even this embarrassment of riches is outperformed by the sheer scatological breadth of chemistry nomenclature. A few of the most profane include; arsole (whilst only a mildly aromatic it does have a paper entitled “Studies on the Chemistry of the Arsoles”, G. Markl and H. Hauptmann, J. Organomet. Chem., 248 (1983) 269. which I’m going to have to shoehorn a cite of somewhere in my degree course), spermine, moronic acid, fucitol, orotic acid, fukiic acid, clitoriacetal, vaginatin, anol, clitorin, fucol, sodamide, dUMP (2’-deoxyuridine-5’-monophosphate), khanneshite, SEX (sodium ethyl xanthate), erectone, beta-BuTX (beta-Bungarotoxin), cumene, assoanine, anisole, ASS (argininosuccinate synthetase), forskolin, rhamnetin, PORN (poly-L-ornithine) and CuNT (copper nanotubes). The question is will the moderators pit this thread for the otherwise technically accurate vocabulary? ---

Similar to the topic: I work for an industrial and construction supplier. When I first started, I thought that I would never gain an understanding for all the product lines. After the first few “training tests” and ordering product for customers, I found some terminology was especially easy to remember: Butt Connectors Sex Bolts Pipe Nipples Immature? Maybe, depending on the view. I however, most certainly can appreciate these terms with a sense of humor. I can’t help but hold back a snicker when somebody calls in for a, “one and half inch black pipe nipple.” ---
