I always used to abbreviate “B4” in my class notes.
There’s also science fiction’s (and the SDMB’s) Ralph 124C41+ The plus is extraneous, but the rest says “one to foresee for one.”

I went to a restaurant in Tampa, FL, that was named **CDB** ’s. When we asked about the name, the waiter brought out the book, **CDB**. I think that there a few in the chain now.
Since I haven’t seen it, I’ll add the always popular:
XTC = ecstasy
Also a British band from the 70s/80s.

My wife has two good friends from different African countries, and both have names that sound like strings of English letters: Ije (EJ) and Elodie (LOD). It seemed enough of a coincidence to make it a mild joke among the three of them (EJ and LOD didn’t know each other except through my wife.)
