**Grip** – as in, one’s possessions. Like the T-Bone Walker song:

I packed my grip and I walked away

**Booked and Bound to Go** – must leave  
**Sob Sister** – a female reporter, known for working up a lot of human interest angles.  
**Cannon** – a pickpocket.  
**Mug** – a punk, or hooligan.  
**Why, for two red cents I’d** – introduces a threat  
**Fellow Traveler** – a commie, pinko.  
**McGimp** – rhyming slang for _pimp_
