City nearby named Palos Verdes comes out Palso every time. Maybe the theory about the nearer-ness of s vs. o? Actually same finger but one row away. Or brain damage.

Email is usually emial, which is a pain since it is a word I type quite a bit. I can also be counted among the ranks of those who type teh for the.

Not exactly a typing mistake, more of a mental glitch: I type (or write) ‘for’ when I mean to say ‘of’, and vice-versa. I think there’s a technical term for cross-overs like that. Whatever it is, it drives me nuts.

I’m also prone to type ‘to’ when I mean ‘too’.

**Embarrass.** Or is it **embarass**? I usually have to stop and consult a dictionary for that word. I never get it right the first time.

i usually have to retype words that i know how to spell, but since my brain is used to letting my fingers type a certain combination of letters, they come out wrong. like i can’t for the life of me type “eric” or anything close to my name, because my brain insists that i should be talking about myself. speaking of myself, i always for some reason type it “myslef”. my friend and i have a joke about “myslef” the german elf. but i think you would think that was funnier if you were that friend and we were im-ing.

One of my worst ones is “fresh.” Somehow I can always count on it coming out as “freash” as I fat-finger an a in there. Another one I hate is how I will often type “out” instead of “put” and vice versa because of the proximity of the o and p to each other on the keyboard. What sucks even worse about this one is that the spell checker won’t catch these, and they don’t exactly stand out as errors when doing a casual proofread, either.

“Doing” always ends up being “going” and vice versa. Semi-colons where I want apostrophes are also particularly pesky errors I can’t get away from. “You” often comes out as “yiu”. There are probably a million others that I am not thinking of at the moment.

“Because” and “house” always end up being “becasue” and “hosue.” And I sometimes put “sork” instead of “work.”

I’m the same as Widdershins, and always do ‘jsut’ for ‘just’. It’s a damn pain in the proverbial, but at least I’m aware of it now, and so any time I use the word I ALWAYS check.
And sometimes “the” comes out as hte…but I’m getting better at all of my keyboard dyslexia, UNTIE, stuff!

I do **teh** and \*\* just\*\* as well, and if the same letter ends a word and starts the next one I will tend to only use one of them…so **rather racy** ends up being typed as **rather acy** , but I am horribly inefficient, instead of inserting the missing letter I backspace and erase the whole damn offending word and start again.,which I type as **agian**.
