I’m sick and tired of people bringing their personal baggage, egocentrism and psychoses into work. Unless you’re an actor, you need to leave the drama at home. We all just want to be reasonably productive and go the fuck home. ---

Ok, I’ll bite. Your statement is true on it’s face however people, lacking Vulcan-like logic, do not always behave the way they should. I endorse this pitting. I have a coworker that will absolutely break down in tears if you criticise her even in the slightest bit. It’s ridiculous. She needs to fing her big girl pants and put them the fuck on already. ---

I’m not a vulcan, but fuck your feelings. I never want to hear about them or see any visual displays thereof. Every time someone cries at work, I secretly wish they would die. Secretly, because outward expressions of emotion at the office are not okay. ---

The logic of trying to pretend we don’t have emotions or issues or other shit happening while we are at work is on one hand understandable (it interferes with work and distresses other people) but on the other hand entirely unrealistic and downright assinine. If someone cries once and that bothers you, fuck you. If someone cries at the drop of a report, fuck them. ---

This is a management issue, they do the hiring and have to take some ownership for the culture they create, by action or inaction. And yes, I get that things evolve. Starts out all normal, one high drama lover, gets hired, drama ensues, causing disruptions. Where’s management? Especially whoever hired them? No action insures that more drama queens blossom or are hired. More drama and disruption ensues. Where’s management? Pretty soon it’s acceptable culture, and management is claiming that’s just how it is! Management needs to decide they don’t want this any more and act to turn the train around. Next display of drama, gets removed to a private room the weeper immediately sent home for the day. (Without pay!) Get a grip or go home. If the management stayed on top of it, it would change. If they can’t be bothered, well, it spreads, like herpes. Next, people who were not formally drama queens, start getting into the action too. You have my sympathies, that environment would be toxic to me, I’d be seeking an out, but that’s just me. ---

I just had this conversation with someone who tried schooling me on how emotional women are compared to men. “Oh yeah?” I replied, “it really makes you wonder why it’s usually men who enter theaters and shoot up people, start violent riots in response to football losses and anti-Muslim videos, and regularly break into fights with each other in bars, clubs, and stadiums. Maybe these are women disguised as men.” ---

No shit. Anger is an emotion, and needs to be supressed at work. Happy is also an emotion, and people don’t express it enough. Yet some people get angry at happy people. Go figure. ---
