I don’t know what’s up with me this week. I’ve been in a foul mood. Perhaps it’s the anti-climax of the high I was on all of last week after [TorDope](http://www.uvm.edu/~nvenet/TorDope/TorDope.htm).

I have nothing to do. This week I edited some web pages, and pretended to research Mac OS X for an upcoming release. (Actually, I did learn quite a bit about changes in the interface.)

I’m tired. I want to go back to bed.

Luckily I have some accumulated time, so I asked my manager if I could use it to leave early, and she said yes. She’ll be on vacation for the next two weeks, so things won’t be as bad, i.e. no having to pretend to work until she leaves for the day.

The bus had better not be crowded. I want to be able to sit down and nod off.

I’m sure I’ll be in a fantastic mood when I get home.

Work is like afterschool detention, only you get paid.

That is all.

Work sucks.

I don’t want to do my experiments, but the last two weeks it’s been impossible to get stuff done… so I’m way behind.

All I have to say, you lucky dog 🙂

If you’re drinking, raise a glass for those of us who wish we were in your shoes.

I did the same thing this past Wednesday. The AC at work went out and it was 90 degrees outside, 85 in the office. So I burned a half of a vacation day and went home at noon. I would love to do the same today – there is nothing to do, it’s almost the weekend, and I’m getting cabing fever. At least the AC is fixed.

I am so with you on this “work” thing. I don’t wanna anymore.

Well **scott** , I’ll be enjoying myself camping with friends tonight, so you and I can have a cross-nation Friday night DrunkDope, if that’ll cheer you up. Although, I’ve got to be relatively moderate, as I’ve got to get up for a 9AM rehersal tomorrow morning. Ugh.

I’m booking out of work early today too, to participate in some psychological research - you have to be healthy and have feel good about your eating habits and shape. I get a yes to both counts, so off I go.

Apparently it’s a 2 hour focused interview. I hope they’re gonna have snacks, because after talking about food for 2 hours, I’m gonna be hungry! 🙂

**Eonwe** , I’ve already started my Friday DrunkDope.

Anyway I got home (after paying off my enormous tab at the depanneur) and was planning on getting my hair cut, but a) I don’t feel like it and b) seeing as I just paid off that tab and still have to pay my August rent, I should wait until my next pay.

Oh, and **CRorex** , cheers!

I’ve always thought it was perfectly appropriate to go home when work is making you mental.

Or as a good friend says, “When life goes wrong. Go home. Go to bed.”
