It really pains me to say this because I’m a huge fan, but this CD is awful. There is not a single song that hooked me in. Not one. The closest was probably _The Last Carnival,_ but that was more because I knew it was a tribute to Danny Federici than because it was actually good. The whole album is shallow and like a watered-down drink. _Queen of the Supermarket_ may be the worst song I’ve seen him release. The whole thing feels like he was rushing to fulfill an obligation or something. There’s no heart or guts. Ugh. ---

Really? I think it rocks. I really like Good Eye, but I wish it were three verses longer. And I want to cover it, doing it softly, then hard. Outlaw Pete is weird but I like it, too. The more I listen, my favourites will likely change. But I like it. ---

I just downloaded three of the songs on I-Tunes yesterday: 1. Outlaw Pete 2. My Lucky Day 3. Surprise, Surprise
