**butters** , I like the sleepy pup pose. He’s a cutie! **rockin’** , for my mom’s memorial, I just wore a skirt, blouse and blazer (and tights under because it was a flippin’ cold February day in Lake Effects Snow Country™ ). For my cousin’s funeral in January, it was slacks and a blazer. Check the thrift and consignment stores. **Moooom** , the vending machines in our main break room don’t even take currency. You have to have an account set up to even use a credit or debit card, but most folks just have items deducted from their pay. You can still get a coke, candy bar and a pack of nabs in the small break areas with change though. I was going to fix sesame pork and veggies last night for supper but wound up, instead, with an impromptu dinner date. 🙂 So it looks like I’ll be fixing that tonight instead. ---

I’m scheduled for an interview on Firday at 1 for about 2 hours. So I told my boss that I need to leave at noon to tend to some personal business. 😃 They’re looking for a Mechanical Designer, which sounds to me like an engineer that they don’t want to pay engineer wages. OK, in reality it’s somewhere between a drafter and an engineer. As long as they pay at least as much as I’m making now, preferably a little more, I’ll be jumping ship. I talked to my boss just before 10, telling him I was out of work to do. He said he’d get back to me after lunch. When I left at 3:30, I still hadn’t seen him. That’s a big reason that I want to get a different job. So we shall see. We let Salsa’s cook supper because I didn’t feel like cooking. It was good. Now we’re home and about to assume the veg posture. C’mon Firday!!! ---

I heard from my next door neighbor of a shocking event that happened in our area today. He asked if I’d heard about it and I said “no”. A little before noon he says he was working on his computer, when, right outside his house he heard gunshots, quite a lot. He called 911 right away, and looked outside, seeing a man running west, in the street, with a gun in his hand. This guy passed my house, but then turned towards it, running in between my house and the house on the west. There’s fencing that seperates the yards. Dude comes running back and continues west towards a park, passing out of view. My neighbor goes up by my house where he’d seen the shooter goes and finds his gun, poked past my fence into the corner of the west neighbor’s property. **Eek!** When the police(lots of them) arrived he pointed it out to them, for which they were grateful. My neighbor says the police told him, later in the day when he called again, that at least two people have been arrested, but I don’t know if either of them is the one who came into my yard with the gun I don’t know. ---

The Compliance guy from the company was in my store today. It’s officially upgraded from “Dumpster Fire” to “Smoldering Dumpster”😃 **Baker** , I once got barred from my apartment ,because the cops were chasing a guy back and forth between my apartment complex and the one next door, after he robbed the convenience store across the street. I _finally_ replace the light bulb in the garage door opener tonight. Took \< 1 min, & that included going to get a new bulb. In the morning, open garage door, press button, it’s getting lighter as the door goes up so one doesn’t remember that it’s out. In the evening, it’s light in there from the car headlights reflecting off the back wall…until you turn off the car, at which point you can’t reach to change the bulb because the car’s in the way. :smack: Grrr! ---

In my case, it was because apparently my neighbors were trying to roast me. Being used to nightly temps of about 17ºC in the house and having bedclothes to match, 3am temps of 23ºC count as “too that hot”. Why the flying bologna sandwich would anybody want to keep the house at 25ºC (min, if mine is at 23 just from the leaking heat) when it’s barely 0ºC outside? Haven’t they heard of pajamas? Or of electrical bills?
