Summer festival season is coming. Our busiest time of the year. Last night something went on in our parking garage which resulted in a fight between one of my cashiers and one of my supervisors. I still don’t know exactly what happened but I do know that the cashier quit and the supervisor got fired. I hate HR with the fire of a thousand suns. I didn’t sign on for this, and I’m not cut out for HR. The job I thought I was taking was an accounting job, not babysitting cashiers. ---

Do these people even READ the resume before getting in touch? Do recruiters in the same company even TALK to each other? I’ve had two contacts today, from the same company, about the same completely inappropriate job. Why _no_, I’m not a SAS programmer. Yes, I know it says SAS in my resume, but that’s because I had a short, one-month contract there as a _technical writer_. Not a programmer. Not an administrator. Technical. Writer. Even says in my summary that I’m a Technical. Writer. I am not a fucking SAS Programmer! Quit contacting me for SAS programming jobs! Even better, fix your fucking system so if one recruiter is calling me about a job, the others know not to! It’s bad enough being spammed about the same position by recruiters from multiple companies; I really don’t need to be spammed for the same position by multiple recruiters from the same company on top of it. And while you’re at it, read the resume before contacting me. Many more contact from your company about positions I’m completely unsuited for guarantees I will never, ever work with you even if you find a position I am suited for, because you are CLUELESS. ---

For several months there all my sologig and careerbuilder job recommendations leaned heavily toward Phlebotomist. I had no fucking clue what that was until I looked it up and even less of a clue why the fuck both of those sites decided to carpet bomb me with job recommendations in a field I’ve never worked in and have zero interest in. Thankfully, that’s died down significantly. Were those blood suckers paying these companies to recommend their jobs all over the place? ---

Okay, I have to come back and tell everyone what happened after I left. So we have no accountant, we have basically no customer service rep, we have NO correct pricing spreadsheet from \ and rates are all wrong and not filed in contracts, we have \ talking to herself and the air all around her, we have \ on the sidewalk on her cell phone, and of course me … always trying to devise a master plan of escape from all this horror and bullshit. ---

It’s day 3 with no outgoing phones in the office, because our servers crashed over the weekend. Do you suppose keeping the server room a toasty 80F all the time had anything to do with it? We had no phones or Internet at all on Monday. Since we are able to receive calls and surf the Internet now, I guess that’s good enough. Everyone has a cell phone if they need to dial out, right? :rolleyes: ---
