If I am Deschamps, I am very worried about the Croat possession game and I try to tell the midfiueld the break it up. Because, yeah, the Croats are going to get a couple at this rate and you cannot expect them to gift anymore goals. ---

I can’t remember any final from 1966 on in rainy weather, but at least the 1954 final in Bern was played during pouring rain, the famous Fritz-Walter-Wetter (Fritz Walter weather). ---

Not sure why anyone thinks the second French goal was a “gift”. Clear example of deliberate handling. Unless we include as a “gift” anytime the opposition’s play is so poor that you score from it. Often, that’s a result of being pressured. Now, that first goal from the Griezman dive… :mad: ---
